'Route 66' Kingman, AZ (Day 21 July 4th)

HAPPY 4th of JULY
We hope everyone had a very festive Holiday!
On 'Route 66' after the city of Williams we entered the large city of Kingman. Kingman is the heart of the longest remaining part of Route 66. We continued on Route 66 through Arizona to California. (YES! CALIFORNIA! We finally made it.) This portion of Route 66 went through the desert and mountains. We went through Cool Springs and on to Oatman which is an old Gold Mining Town where the burros own the streets. As we approached the town a gold robbery was in progress. This town was a lot of fun. Notice the sign with carrots for sale. You would think they could at least buy me one carrot.
